2 Nov 2012 When you first open the DirecTV app (version 2.3.0) you are presented with FIX: There was a problem downloading the software for the iPad.
First, it does not access my DVR or most of the Directv channels. But, second, it does not work for more than 2-5 minutes at a time. It suddenly turns off completely. I have to reselect the app category and then the Directv app and then the show I was watching. Needless to say, it is very hard to watch a broken/interrupted live broadcast.
